Franciacorta is an area in Lombardy where the Italian answer to Champagne is made. Solouva means "only grapes" and, in fact, when this small and innovative winery started with just 1 acre of vineyard, the winemakers decided to not introduce anything but the grapes into the wine (whereas most traditional sparklings have an addition of sugar, called "dosage", in the final steps of the winemaking).
This pure Chardonnay sparkling is deliciously bone-dry with a great acidity and yet typical bread-crusty aftertaste. It's characterised by its flowery notes, fine bubbles and almost creamy texture. Perfect for appetizers, with fish or a fresh cheese like Burrata.
